Boys Home staff and students are pleased to welcome Ashley Myatt as administrative assistant to the program director. Ashley’s hometown is Covington, Virginia. She is currently enrolled at Bryant and Stratton College and is completing an online degree in medical billing and coding. Ashley stated, “It has been a privilege working at Boys Home. I have enjoyed learning the students’ stories and watching the positive progress they have made in the program.”
After being hired, Ashley began planning the 2023 Boys Home Graduation and Awards Ceremony which took place in May 2023. She worked diligently to ensure the event was a success. She stated, “I knew it was a big project, but I wanted it to be a great event. I enjoy the team mentality at Boys Home. It helps when you are working through tasks.” Ashley did an excellent job in planning and executing her first big event at Boys Home.
Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her four children who are ages three to ten. She stated, “Now that it’s summer, we enjoy going swimming, visiting rivers and trips to get ice cream. We also have frequent dance parties at home as a family.” Ashley helps to create a supportive environment for each student she encounters, helping them to develop into young men who positively impact those around them and the local community.
