Boys Home Welcomes Kya Williams

Boys Home of Virginia is proud to announce the addition of Kya Williams as a houseparent. Ms. Williams brings with her vast knowledge having earned an associate degree in graphic design, a welding certificate, and having worked as a teacher’s aid for Alleghany County public schools.

“Working at Boys Home has been very rewarding,” explained Williams. “I enjoy helping the Boys here on campus and being there for them when they need emotional support and guidance.”

Williams’ hobbies include painting, cooking, and playing video games. She utilizes those skills to engage with the residents of Boys Home by teaching them skills in the kitchen or challenging them to a Fortnite tournament.

“I love that I have the opportunity to make a difference in the life of these young men,” stated Williams. “I am able to share my personal experiences with them and teach them skills that I hope will be beneficial to their future.”
