Outdoor Program

Activities and Adventure

The outdoor program at Boys Home of Virginia provides students with unique and enriching experiences through various outdoor activities. Set against the scenic backdrop of our 1,200-acre campus in the Alleghany Highlands, the program includes hiking, kayaking, and fishing outings both on and off campus.

These activities allow students to connect with nature, develop physical fitness, and cultivate a sense of adventure. The outdoor program promotes teamwork, self-confidence, and an appreciation for the natural environment. By participating in these pursuits, students gain valuable life skills and create lasting memories in a supportive and inspiring setting.
