Fundraising event to benefit of Boys Home of Virginia!

Manakin Episcopal Church in Midlothian, Virginia, is organizing an event to honor long-time member
Chandler Williams on September 26, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The Phillips Farm. Chandler is
a past Boys Home trustee president and an avid supporter of Boys Home.  There will be food, drink, and
fun—and at the request of Chandler—all proceeds will benefit Boys Home of Virginia! Event tickets

Tucked into this event is the chance to win one of two Mexican vacations at Vidanta Grand Luxxe
property in Nuevo Vallarta or Rivera Maya, which will be raffled off at the event. You don’t have to be
present to win either of these fabulous luxury vacations. Each vacation includes 7 nights, 8 days – A villa
with two spacious master bedrooms with king beds and large bathrooms, a full kitchen, and half bath in
the family room. There is a third room with a trundle bed, large sofa, a mini kitchen, and deck. A plunge
pool is on the spacious balcony. This unit is rated for 8 adults and 2 children under 12 and is ideal for 2-3
couples or a large family. Enjoy championship golf courses, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing,
and parasailing. Includes ownership privileges of six rounds of golf with cart and fore caddy, as well as

Boys Home Quilt Raffle 2021

Boys Home of Virginia is hosting its 2021 Quilt Raffle. Please don’t miss this opportunity to win an expertly crafted Around the World patterned quilt. Multiple shades of blue and various floral patterns blend perfectly to accent any queen-sized bed.

As in years past, this quilt was created by Phyllis Gibson, sister of Boys Home’s executive director Donnie Wheatley. Boys Home truly appreciates her generosity in supporting the students and helping them along their path to success.

Tickets are $5.00 each or 10 tickets for $45.00. The drawing will take place on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. All proceeds benefit Boys Home of Virginia. Best of luck winning this beautiful quilt!

Boys Home receives grant funds from Presbytery of the Peaks

Boys Home of Virginia has received a $2,500.00 grant award for their Trades Program from Presbytery of the Peaks. Louis Sarratt, Special Projects Manager for Boys Home accepts the award from Rev. Susi Ennis of the Covington First Presbyterian Church, which is a member of Presbytery of the Peaks.

Boys Home celebrates #GivingTuesday on December 3, 2019

On December 3rd, Boys Home of Virginia will kick off the holidays by celebrating our 2019 #GivingTuesday campaign BOOKS FOR THE BOYS! The Boys Home library is in need of updating and repopulating their shelves. All donations made for #GivingTuesday will help us provide the books necessary to challenge, inspire, and encourage these young men to read, learn and envision themselves being a positive impact on the world around them. Begin the giving season by giving back! Once Black Friday is over, Small Business Saturday is past, and Cyber Monday is complete, please don’t forget about #GivingTuesday and our BOOKS FOR THE BOYS campaign!
